Crowley County is currently under a stage 2 Fire ban. The Sheriff/Fire Marshall is making a special exemption for legal fireworks on the 4th of July ONLY. Rules for this exemption are 18 yrs. of age, on private property or camping spot, water and area free of debris. Anyone using fireworks on any day other than the 4th, will be ticketed and fireworks confiscated.
TRASH RATE INCREASE
The town has been notified by our trash service provider that there will be a 3% increase effective August 1, 2020. This will
change your bill for trash service from $21.00 to $21.63.
Trash pick up rules:
There has been some confusion concerning the picking up of extra trash bags, etc. that are not in the dumpster. Per contract
through 8/1/21, only trash put in the dumpster will be dumped. The selling of a tag to put on extra trash bags to have picked up no longer exists. The town and the vendor could not agree on a process or a reasonable fee.
On January 27th, the council passed a resolution (2020-01) that was to cut the usage from 7,000 gallons to 5,000 gallons. That would of added $4.40 to your water bill FOR USUAGE BETWEEN 5,OOO-7,000 GALLONS. This resolution was recinded June 22, 2020 .

The playground equipment, spray park and bathrooms are closed. Bicycle camping permits are not being issued. the town cannot meet disinfecting requirements.
